It’s summer time and it’s hot in Austria. One of the world’s most exciting news updates, a Salzburg brothel recently updated its website with, “Effective immediately: Free Entrance! Free Drinks! Free Sex!”

But it’s not a joke. It’s a protest.

All summer long, the brothel’s owner, Hermann Mueller, is giving his customers free sex and booze as a part of his rebellion against what he sees as punitive tax payments.

He’s even willing to pay his staff up to 10,000 euros ($11,270) a month of his own money to remain a man of his word.

This isn’t his first complaint. Mueller operates brothels in four other cities across Austria and Germany, and he’s always been very critical of his business regulation.

In one media interview he claims to have paid nearly 5 million euros in Salzburg taxes alone over the past decade.

A lot of men—hundreds, in fact—have lined up to take advantage of Mueller’s charitable dissent.

According to Mueller, the summer special is proving a bit too popular. He keeps having to turn men away due to overcrowding.
